New Lucy Pics!
I've been having a hard time keeping up with things lately. Some days, it's all I can do to get the laundry from the basket to the washer, from the washer to the dryer, and then get it all folded and put away. Unfortunately, this leads to having to put things on the back burner, and computer time is the first thing to be turned down to "low".
And so, for the thousandth time, I express my deepest apologies and regrets at not being able to update this as often as I would like, and more importantly, as often as Lucy's fans would like.
Don't despair! Here's what's new lately:
Lucy has been talking, talking, talking! As parents, we've settled into a routine of either one or the other of us interpreting what she's asking for. She'll walk up to me and say something that sounds like gibberish, and when I say, "What?" David answers from the other room, "She wants to wear the Barbie nightgown, not the pajamas." So what do we do when there's only one of us home with her? We take a giant guess and hope we figure out what she wants. Most of the time, though, it's very clear what she's saying.
She also loves to sing. She knows several songs, and SHE chooses what song to sing. This usually means singing the same song 4 or 5 times before switching to another one. But it's cute how she tries so hard to say all the words, and if there are actions, she tries to sing AND do the actions at the same time. This is very hard on some songs.
Lucy is incredibly independent as well, and gets very upset if she thinks she can do something herself and we won't let her. This is fine if she wants to put on her own shoes or take her plate to the sink. But she doesn't understand why she can't use a sharp knife to cut a piece of cheese, or pour her own milk from an almost full gallon. So she pouts and lays on the floor and eventually remembers how much she likes cheese or how thirsty she was and then it's like nothing happened. I guess that's one advantage to having a short attention span.
And now for the pictures!

Easter pics will be here soon!
